Legal & Privacy
The plain-language version.
The short summary first, the formal documents below. Last updated July 2026.
Privacy
We collect the minimum we need to deliver a transfer: the email addresses involved, file names and sizes, and basic technical logs to keep the service secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not scan the contents of your files.
Your data
Files are uploaded directly from your browser to encrypted cloud storage. They are reachable only through the unguessable link we generate, and they are permanently deleted when the link expires. You can request deletion of account data at any time.
- Files auto-delete on the expiry you choose.
- Links are cryptographically random and unlisted.
- Password-protected transfers add a second gate before any file is shown.
Emails we send
We email you for the transfer itself - download links, sender confirmations, and the download notifications you opt into. From time to time we may also send a single, friendly request for feedback or a review. Every non-essential email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting your transfers.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum and never use them to build advertising profiles that follow you around the web.
- Essential - keep you signed in, remember your preferences (including this cookie notice), protect forms from bots, and carry a transfer through to completion. The site can't work without these.
- Analytics & marketing - we use Google Analytics and the Reddit pixel to understand which pages and campaigns are useful. They measure visits; they never read the contents of your files.
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings - though some essential features may stop working if you do.
Bot protection
To protect sign-ups, logins, password resets and uploads from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible verification service that runs without tracking you across the web or showing puzzles. To do this, Cloudflare may process limited technical signals from your browser. Your use of Turnstile on LetsSend is subject to the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Terms of use
Use LetsSend to send files you have the right to share. Do not use it to distribute malware, infringing material, or anything illegal. We may suspend transfers that violate these terms or threaten the service for everyone else.
The free plan allows up to 5 GB and 10 files per day, per user, on a rolling 24-hour basis. Paid plans raise these limits to 200 GB and 30-day links. We may apply fair-use limits to protect the service.
